One Fine Day

On Friday, we traveled to Cambridge and I fell in love with England in a way that I did not think was possible.  The architecture, gardens and history simply stole my heart.  Take a look at these pictures and see what I mean.

The quadrangle at Emmanuel College

Not a blade of grass was out of place

Daffodils were everywhere

The “new” library at one of the colleges

Spring was in full bloom already

The chapel at King’s College

The pub that C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien imbibed at

Enjoying a diet coke at the famous bar

The Cam river that flows through Cambridge

Many people were out “punting” on the river

Neil outside the library where we saw the incredible King James Bible exhibit

The busy CLC Bookshop in Cambridge with all new signage

The Cambridge Team – led by Sarah on the right

Leaving Cambridge on a double decker bus and passing one of the red phone booths that are still everywhere.

The Sheffield CLC Bookshop with the updated look.

Rebecca Williams with her fiance Duncan Bell

No trip to England would be complete without fish and chips.

Wonderful pictures, Dave. Now do you see why your mother loves England!! If you think that was beautiful wait until you go down to Cornwall!! Looking forward to seeing you soon.

  2. Thanks for all the England pics, Dave! I agree, the country is absolutely beautiful. And I agree with your mother, too, that Cornwall is probably one of the prettiest places in all of England. Glad you had a good trip!
