Signs of New Life

This weekend was a reminder to me of the truth of the saying, “good things come to those who wait”.  After several years of waiting for the funds, we have begun the process of replacing old signage with the new CLC logo.  This was made possible as the result of funds coming from the estate of a retired CLCer who went home to be with the Lord recently.  What a beautiful legacy to Lorna, that the new CLC logo will now be revealed to the next generation of CLCers because of her faithfulness and generosity.

On a more important note to my family, my sister Heidi become a mother after many years of patiently waiting on the Lord.  She and her husband Chris adopted a precious new born baby boy officially on Saturday.  His name is David Abijah Cameron Tuggy.   He was born Thursday, April 9th, 2009 at 9:35am. He weighed 6lbs 15.4oz and was 18 inches long with a head circumference of 13.5 inches.  I am sure that they did not name him after me as Chris’s father is also named David, but I was pleased with their choice of an excellent first name.  I will be looking forward to spending time with my new nephew this summer.

Yeah, this is what a new born looks like – what are you looking at anyway?
